Ros Canter Takes Double Gold at WEG

THE team at Equipe Saddles were celebrating after Ros Canter’s fantastic individual and team eventing gold medals at the World Equestrian Games in North Carolina, USA.
Team GBR riders Piggy French, Gemma Tattersall, Tom McEwan and Ros Canter, put in a superb effort at Tryon to take the winner’s podium with Ros leading the way.

Lara Butler wins Cavalor Inter II Championship

Lara Butler won the inaugural Cavalor Intermediate II Gold Championship (20 September, LeMieux National Dressage Championships) riding Dr and Mrs W Bechtolsheimer’s 13 year old bay gelding, Kristjan on a score of 71.61%. Georgia Stokes took second place (70.05%) on her own Talented Mr Ripley and Sadie Smith came third (69.95%) on her own Keystone Dynamite.

The hotly contended class took place in the most testing of conditions between Storm Ali and Storm Bronagh, with all seventeen regional finalists maintaining their composure during the high winds.

Sprenger Launch New Pony Bit Range

Sprenger has added new pony sizes to its range of popular bits following demand from younger riders.
The smaller sizes have been included in seven bits from October as pony riders have recognised the huge benefits Sprenger bits provide.
Pony sizes are now available in the Bemelmans Weymouth and HO-Weymouth, Dynamic RS and Turnado - single jointed loose ring snaffles; the Dynamic RS - single jointed and double jointed eggbutt snaffle versions, and the Turnado – 3-Ring single jointed bit.
A Mullen Mouth – eggbutt bit with hard carbon mouthpiece will be available in December to complete the range.
The bits are priced from £51 to £256.
