New Veredus and Fleck Sponsorship for Tabitha Kyle

Leading horse boot brand, Veredus, and well-known whip brand, Fleck, have extended their team of riders and welcomed Tabitha Kyle through equestrian distributors Zebra Products. 
At just 12-years-old Tabitha competes both nationally and internationally so requires high quality products for herself and her ponies to maximise performance. 2019 proved extremely successful for the young International showjumper. Her highlights include being selected for the Children on Horses European Championships on her 17.1hh horse, Bart. The duo finished in an individual place of fifth and brought home GBR Team European bronze medal, along with creating history by winning both the 128cm and 138cm Championships in the same year, not only at HOYS but also at Liverpool International Horse Show. Tabitha ended 2019 with more than 150 wins. 
With riding in her blood, her father Mark is an Olympic eventer and her mother Tanya evented up to 4* level. Whilst following in her parents’ footsteps into the equestrian world, Tabitha has developed her own passion for showjumping. Tabitha currently competes in Children on horses alongside competing her 138cm and 148cm ponies.

New Bucas Sweet-Itch X Light

The new Bucas Sweet-Itch X Light rug is made using the Bucas Sweet-Itch polyester fabric on the upper and an open mesh fabric on the lower part. The specially developed fabric blocks entry of even the smallest of insects.
The upper part of the rug completely shields the areas of the horse that are prone to Sweet Itch. The rug also has the benefit of being light weight for use on warm days as the lower open mesh helps cool the horse by allowing air to circulate.
The Bucas Sweet-Itch X Light also helps in protecting against sun bleaching.
The rug has an extra-long neck that covers the pole and brow of the horse whilst the deep sides help to keep flies away while also allowing the air to circulate around the horse’s legs.
With an adjustable stomach flap, the rug provides all round protection secured with three external surcingles.

James Avery Joins the Zebra Products’ Herd

Kiwi rider James Avery has secured a new sponsorship with well-known equestrian distributors, Zebra Products. James will be joining the herd under the brands Cavalleria Toscana, EGO7 and Uvex. 
Originally a farrier from Nelson in New Zealand, James won the NZ National Young Rider Three-day Event title in 2011 at the South Island Three-day Event. 
James came over to England in 2013 with no set plan but found work with fellow Kiwis Tim and Jonelle Price before moving on to work with Tiny Clapham and then Ruth Edge before setting up on his own.

2020 British Showjumping New Whip Rules

To promote horse welfare, British Showjumping is only allowing one type of whip in competitions from next year. From January 1, 2020 only cushion-type whips will be allowed.

These changes came about as a result of discussions between the officials’ working groups, and the BS national sport committee. The new ruling will apply to all members.

The new rule states, only one whip may be carried and no substitute for a whip may be carried. A whip, if carried, must be held in the hand by the handle with the handle at the top.
