uvex successfully entered the equestrian glove market in 2015 , and have since been developing new products to add to the range. The latest addition is the uvex tensa collection, launched at Spoga 2016 which comprises three different models. The tensa, the tensa Dressage, and the tensa Light.
This collection has been designed in conjunction with Ludwig Weinmayr, the leading four-in-hand Carriage Driver, dual German Champion, three time World Championship Medal winner and uvex Ambassador. With the input and practical experience of Ludwig the resulting designs are lightweight, and combine the use of Pittards OIL TAC Grip leather and a special polymer for a durable superior all weather contact. Seams have been minimised and bulk reduced for a more sensitive feel.
OIL TAC Grip leather was originally created for the American Football market by Pittards to be used in gloves worn by the all important Catcher. World famous Pittards are renowned for treating and tanning their materials to prevent the absorption of sweat and water, thereby reducing the risk of slip and loss of grip.
