The Bucas Buzz-Off Collection consists of fly, insect and UV protective products, which are all made in a highly technical, lightweight, fine woven mesh. This fine weave is able to prevent even the smallest of insects getting through and also helps to reduce the effects of ultraviolet radiation by helping to reflect the sun's rays.
The Buzz-Off Full Neck has an integrated neck offering full protection over the neck and up to the ears. The rug has a padded front closure system allowing for extra protection and comfort. An innovative elasticised, detachable belly cover helps to ensure that the rug is kept in place, as well as helping to protect the insect vulnerable belly area. Leg straps further add to the rug's performance.
The Buzz-Off Classic Cut rug is the ideal spring/summer field companion, when full protection of the neck is not required. Featuring a traditionally cut neck line, with quick and easy to use front buckle and belly straps.
The Buzz-Off Fly Mask completes the protective picture by keeping the head and ears totally covered.
Say ‘Buzz Off' to fly bother in the field this spring/summer!

Following Italian saddlery brand’s Equipe’s announcement that they are now sponsoring Ben Maher, the brand has also snapped up leading UK show-jumper Laura Renwick.

“Laura joins Ben, Charlotte Platt and Matthew Sampson and we are thrilled with the calibre of riders that are now riding in the brand, which only goes to further show that Equipe really is the professional choice for serious riders both here in the UK and abroad”
Sprenger Talent Shines!
The Sprenger team recently came over the UK to hold a bitting symposium for UK press, top riders, trainers and retailers and it was a huge success. Those who attended the day included top dressage riders Spencer Wilton, Peter Storr, dressage judge Judy Harvey, eventers Jay Hallam and Sam Griffiths and top German trainer Klaus Blakenholl (former Olympic champion), Dr Bechtolsheimer (dressage rider Laura Bectolsheimer’s father and a respected rider and trainer himself) and Laura herself. We were given a good insight into the research, history and data collated -all of which has helped carve the extensive collection that the brand has today. Findings included discovering that aluminium was not a good combination with copper, as it did the opposite of copper and stopped the oxidation process which leads to salivation and also the new understanding of mouth conformation, which came from a joint research programme with the Veterinary University in Hannover Germany. The result of this research had a direct influence on the Sprenger bit design and they set about to create a bit that was anatomically correct and one which put nil pressure on the bones in the mouth cavity, yet gave clear instructions to the horse in a new and soft way. After designing a number of single and double jointed snaffles, these were extensively tested and the test results examined carefully with the best results being with a double jointed bit that had been shortened via the middle link with an angle change of 45 degrees to the front –thus the now hugely popular KK Ultra bit collection were created. For those of you who didn’t get the opportunity to come along –click onto the video link and you can get a essence of the day with leading British dressage rider Laura Bechtolsheimer discussing bitting with Sprenger MD Heinz Baumann. Courtesy of Horse Hero, this video shows Laura’s youngster Step being measured for the correct bit size, as well as Laura asking renowned trainer Klaus Balkenhol for his views and Laura asking Sprenger’s Brigitte Schulte advice on double bridles and how to introduce them to her youngsters.

In Perfect Hands
When it comes to perfection, top Olympic dressage rider Carl Hester won’t settle for anything less, as his winning results consistently prove!
A big fan of Schwenkel gloves, Carl likes to compete and trains in the Schwenkel German Master Glove, which is styled in the finest sheepskin and features a clever stretch panel over the knuckles which allows for a snug but unrestrictive fit. Combining good looks with comfort, the glove has been finished with specialist treatment that ensures that the glove looks and feels good even when under pressure and is also waterproof and breathable.Whilst we may not be lucky enough to possess Carl’s perfect hands, we can certainly dress them up to impress!
